Tawoos, MSF discuss mechanism to enhance coordination to confront Covid-19
SANAA, June 1 (YPA) – Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdul Mohsen Tawoos, discussed with Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières(MSF) a mechanism to enhance coordination to confront Covid-19 in Yemen.
The move came during his meeting with the two heads of the Spanish and Dutch MSF organizations in Yemen.
At the meeting, the officials reviewed aspects related to means to facilitate the SMF’s tasks and works, and the possibility of supporting the health sector by providing medical equipment, supplies and medicines to fight the Corona epidemic.
Tawoos affirmed the council’s keenness to provide the necessary facilities and overcome challenges and difficulties that face the MSF, calling the organizations to sensing responsibility towards the humanitarian conditions in Yemen.
