20 Taliban militants killed, wounded during operations of the Afghan forces
SANAA, May 19 (YPA) – The Afghan army announced that its forces had killed and wounded at least 11 Taliban militants during operations in Ghazni, Paktika, and Wardak provinces.
The army said in a statement on Tuesday, that the security forces launched an operation in the Nani area of Ghazni city, where the Taliban were planning to launch an attack.
The statement added that the security forces killed two Taliban militants during the operation and wounded three others.
The statement indicated that in a similar operation in the Wazikhwa area, security forces followed two Taliban militants during the operation and wounded three others.
The security forces also launched an air strike in the area of Sayedabad in Wardak province, killing 7 Taliban and wounding 3 others, and destroyed five motorcycles and some weapons and ammunition.
