STC’s leading member calls for mobilization to confront “Hadi’s forces”

ABYAN, May 15 (YPA) – Member of the so-called Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s presidency, Sheikh Abdulrab al-Naqeeb on Thursday called on sons of the south for tribal mobilization to confront Hadi’s forces in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

“Aden” TV channel belonging to the STC broadcast a statement by Sheikh al-Naqeeb, in which he said: “The south is facing a brutal attack, in which the forces of terrorism and war merchants rallied from all sides.”

Al-Naqeeb’s speech included regional and sectarian incitement, as he considered the war between the southern people (Sunni) against what he described as legions of invading remnants coming from northern Yemen to invade the south in the name of legitimacy.

Sheikh al-Naqeeb is one of the most prominent Sheikhs of Yafie al-Olaya, and he had called in August 2019 for a similar mobilization against Hadi’s forces, after the killing of Munir al-Yafie Abu Al-Yamamah by missile strikes targeted “Al-Galaa camp.”
