ABU DHABI, May 14 (YPA) – A senior Emirati official has confirmed that the Abu Dhabi government supports its ally, the “Southern Transitional Council” (STC), to secede and establish its independent state in southern Yemen.
Abdul-Khaleq Abdullah, a former adviser to the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, said in a tweet on Tuesday that what the STC is doing is based on a popular base and wants to form an independent state, stressing the need to support it, as it is an ally from “the Free Arabs”.
The Emirati official described Hadi government as “a stumbling block”, which he said does not distinguish between the friend and the enemy, and that it serves “Brotherhood agenda” and is run by Turkish and Qatari intelligence that intends to harm countries of Saudi-led coalition.
