National delegation discusses with EU ambassadors humanitarian, political situation in Yemen

MUSCAT, May 13 (YPA) – The national delegation headed by Mohammed Abdulsalam on Wednesday discussed with the European Union ambassadors (France, Portugal, the Netherlands, Austria, Finland, Malta, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Sweden, Belgium, Ireland, Denmark, Hungary) via video technology, efforts related to the humanitarian and political situation in Yemen.

The meeting touched on aspects related to the ways to push forward the peace process in Yemen and the efforts of the UN envoy to find a comprehensive vision of the solution.

The meeting also dealt with the EU role in supporting the path of the political solution in Yemen, and providing facilities related to hosting dialogue and logistical support, rehabilitating Sanaa International Airport and providing support in the humanitarian aspect.

The ambassadors confirmed the EU readiness to provide logistical and technical services with regard to salary payment, economic assistance and mechanisms related to monetary policy.
