Commander of STC, 17 militiamen killed in Abyan

ABYAN, May 13 (YPA) – A commander loyal to UAE-backed southern transitional council (STC)’s militias was killed on Tuesday and 17 militiamen also were killed in clashes erupted among them and Islah party’s militias in Abyan province, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The commander Abood al-Yaffai and 17 militants were killed when Islah militias bombed four military pick-up vehicles of the southern militias in Zunjbar city.

Islah militants also arrested 42 militiamen of the southern militias and targeted their military reinforcements, destroying several of military pick-up vehicles and seizing BMB vehicle.
