Yemeni air defenses intercept Saudi warplanes over airspace of Jawf
JAWF, May 9 (YPA) – Yemen’s army air defenses on Saturday intercepted a combat formation of several warplanes of the US-backed Saudi-led aggression over airspace of Jawf province.
“Our air defenses managed to confront a combat formation consisting of a number of enemy warplanes over the airspace of Jawf , using the Fater-1 surface-to-air missile defense system, forcing them to leave without carrying out any attack,” Armed Forces spokesman, Brigadier Yahya Sare’e, said.
In the last month, the air defenses have intercepted several combat formations of hostile warplanes over the skies of Capital Sanaa, Marib and Jawf provinces, using the Fater -1 defense system and forced them to leave the skies without achieving their objectives.
