STC overthrows number of Hadi’s government officials in Aden

ADEN, May 7 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Traditional Council (STC) on Thursday overthrew a number of the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi’s government officials in Yemen’s southern city of Aden, sources said.

The sources in the city indicated that the STC referred the officials loyal to “Hadi”, including a director of Mansoura region, Mohammad al-Birri, to investigate due to charges of corruption and looting of public funds, according to autonomy in last April.

Al-Birri rejected the charges against him by the STC on corruption, which led to military tension in the area.
