Video: Massive fire breaks out in residential tower in Sharjah

SANAA, May 6 (YPA) – On Tuesday evening, a massive fire broke out in a residential tower in the Emirate of Sharjah, which hit a number of floors, before the Civil Defense announced its control.

According to local media, flames have been seen erupting on the first floor of the tower, before extending to other floors, about an hour after breakfast, causing real panic among the residents around the tower.

The Media Office of the Sharjah confirmed, as quoted by the newspaper “Emirates Today”, that the civil defense teams of the emirate are still “working to control a fire that broke out in a residential tower in al-Nahda area”.

According to the same newspaper, seven people wounded in the incident and  they were taken to hospital for treatment.
