Al-Miasri accuses MBS of complicity with STC in Aden, Socotra

ADEN, May 6 (YPA) – The Interior Minister in Coalition-backed government accused Mohammed Bin Salman of colluding with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (StC) for his silence on the latter’s actions in southern provinces of Aden and Socotra.

“The guarantor of the Riyadh agreement is Saudi Arabia, and it is responsible for identifying the disabled person,” Ahmad al-Miasri said in remarks to al-Jazeera news channel.

He pointed out that Riyadh’s silence on the actions of the “STC” in Socotra and Aden is a complicit, and it should modify its position.

Before Ramadan, Saudi Arabia asked its follower, Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, to postpone the entry of his forces into Aden from Shaqra in Abyan province, he said.

He added Hadi was not successful when he agreed to delay his forces entry into Aden in response to Saudi Arabia’s wishes, and pointed out that the self-rule project is an Emirati with distinction designed and operated by Abu Dhabi.

Al-Miasri said the Emiratis broke the social fabric in Socotra and brought it into a state of fighting, saying that the coalition bought a group of officers in Socotra with UAE funds.

He indicated that south fell into the circle of ambitions of many, topped by the coalition, to win a place in the important geography.

Socotra, located within the southern provinces, hasbeen witnessing a rebellion by military brigades that declared their allegiance to the STC, which on April 25 declared what it called the “self-rule of the south” from Aden.

The mercenary’s government viewed the announcement as a second coup after last August’s coup and called on the international community and the Arab League to intervene to end it.
