Attorney General orders investigating coalition’s targeting of Afar crossing in Bayda

SANAA, May 2 (YPA) – The Attorney General Judge Nabil Nasser al-Azzani on Saturday directed chief of the prosecution of Bayda province to investigate into the crime of targeting Afar customs crossing in the province by Saudi-led coalition aircraft at dawn.

Judge al-Azzani stressed the importance of coordination with the relevant authorities in the province and the Ministry of Interior represented by forensic evidence department, as well as forensic pathologists, to ensure the collection of all evidence for this crime.

The Customs Authority has announced a number of deaths and wounded and the burning of trucks loaded with goods due to the coalition airstrikes on Afar customs crossing in Bayda province, despite informing the United Nations of the coordinates of the Customs Square site when it was launched in November 2019.
