Foreign Ministry condemns Germany’s decision to classify Hezbollah as terrorist organization

SANAA, April 30 (YPA) – The Foreign Ministry on Thursday strongly condemned the decision of the German government to consider Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.

The Ministry confirmed, in a statement, that this decision comes in response to the Zionist and American pressures targeting Hezbollah.

“The decision was not prudent and would adversely affect Germany’s standing in the region,” the ministry said.

The statement pointed out that Hezbollah and all the national liberation and resistance movements that fight terrorism and struggle to regain the rights of peoples should be backed by the countries and peoples of the free world.

The Ministry affirmed that Hezbollah is part of the Lebanese social and political fabric and enjoys the support of the majority of the Lebanese people as a legitimate resistance movement against the usurping Zionist entity.
