US: More than 2,500 coronavirus death cases recorded in 24 hours

SANAA, April 30 (YPA) – More than 2,500 people died due to the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours on Wednesday evening, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

This brings the total death toll from the epidemic in the United States to 60,853.

This is slightly higher than Tuesday evening (2,207 deaths), compared to 1,330 deaths on Sunday evening and 1,303 on Monday evening.

The United States is the most affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, both in terms of deaths and infections.

On Wednesday evening, US President Donald Trump said during his daily White House press conference on the country’s epidemic developments that the new Coronavirus is “going away.”

“The virus is going to go,” Trump said. It will leave, disappear and will be eliminated,” he added, without specifying when and how.
