STC militias attack Islah’s positions in Shabwah

SHABWAH, April 30 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias launched surprise attacks on positions of Islah militants in Shabwah province, eastern Yemen, local sources on Wednesday.

According to the sources, the STC militias carried out an offensive on Islah militants stationed in al-Tabat al-Musharifah, using various types of weapons.

The sources added that another attack targeted Islah militants in the Alsaeid junction, amid violent clashes that lasted for more than half an hour.

They used various type of machine guns, light and medium, one of the sources said.

The clashes left the dead and wounded in the ranks of Islah militants, he added.
