Water Minister meets UN Humanitarian Coordinator

SANAA, April 28 (YPA) – The Minister of Water and Environment, Engineer Nabil Abdullah Al-Wazir, on Tuesday discussed with the resident representative of the United Nations, Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen, Lize Grande, the aspects of cooperation and joint coordination in the field of supporting the water and sanitation sector in Yemen.

In the meeting, the officials discussed the efforts made by the Ministry and its keenness to continue the flow of clean drinking water for citizens, in addition to the efforts being made to complete the projects currently underway.

The important role of the Humanitarian Coordinator in continuing coordination with donors was stressed and urged them to continue supporting the water and sanitation sector as it is an important service sectors linked to the needs of citizens.
