Yemen lost great leader by martyrdom of President al-Sammad: President al-Mashat

SANAA, April 25 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat said that “Yemen by the martyrdom of President Saleh al-Sammad has lost a great leader and a symbol of its symbols, because of his characteristics that embodied the Qur’anic model.”

This came in an interview with “Al-Thawra” newspaper, which was published in its issue Saturday.

During the interview, President al-Mashat touched on a number of the issues related to the crime of assassinating President Saleh al-Sammad and the pivotal role of the Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi in managing those difficult days and bypassing the ordeal by which the aggression coalition wanted to assassinate the state and bring it down completely.

The President indicated to the factors of success of the National Vision for building the modern Yemeni state, forefront of which is the presence of the political will that supports the national vision and its plans, affirming that the vision is continuation of the project launched by the martyr President al-Sammad (a hand protects and a hand builds).

On the external level, President al-Mashat confirmed the openness of the Republic of Yemen to friendly relations with all countries and governments and that Yemen wants a lasting and comprehensive peace.

In the interview, the President of the Supreme Political Council highlighted the economic war that Yemen is undergoing and efforts to combat corruption.
