Fire cuts electricity service in Mahara
MAHARA, April 25 (YPA) – A massive fire broke out on Friday at the central power station in the district of Sehout, in Mahra, which led to a complete blackout of the districts of Sehout and M’sila.
Sources said that the fire at the station was caused by the burning of one of the old generators of the type “Cater-” which exceeds (12) years old, as it was entered into service on Thursday by the engineering team after it was out of service months ago and the result of the extra loads caused an occurrence in which it has been exposed, subject to combustion.
While other sources suggested that the reasons for the current extinction as a result of the entry of water and diesel under the cables, as the electric current remains extinguished until the moment.
