Yemeni Coast Guard seize 700 Kg of cannabis in territorial waters

HODAIDA, May 6 (YPA) – Yemeni Coast Guard forces on Sunday seized a total of 700 kilograms of cannabis in the territorial waters off Salif port of Hodaida province.

The seized cannabis was in possession of four smugglers aboard two boats, said Maj. Gen. Abdul Razzaq al-Muayyad, director of the coast guard department, in a statement.

The operation was implemented in cooperation with the security agencies concerned with monitoring and tracking drug smugglers, al-Muayyad added.
