SOCOTRA, April 20 (YPA) – Dozens of citizens in Socotra province held on Monday an angry protest rally to reject a policy of the Muslim Brotherhoods-affiliated Islah Party in the province.
In the rally, the protesters demanded Islah leaders in stopping the operation of arrests and opening the airport in front of the leaders of the “Southern Transitional Council backed by UAE in the province.
According to sources, the Emirati occupation forces pushed dozens of Qalansiyah district’s citizens to protest against the presence of Islah militants on Socotra Island.
On Sunday, the pro-Islah Party governor of Socotra, Ramzi Mahrous, directed the closure of the money transfer companies to reduce the flow of UAE money, which supports the rebellions and fuels conflict and fighting among citizens.
