ABYAN, April 20 (YPA) – At least four militants were killed and others injured on Monday in clashes between gunmen of Islah Party and others from Al Kazim tribe loyal to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council in Shoqra city of Abyan province, southern Yemen.
According to local sources, the clashes erupted between the two parties after a dispute over a tie of “Qat leaves”.
This comes at a time when new negotiations are taking place between leaders of the Islah militants and the transitional council militia in Shoqra in the headquarters of Saudi-led coalition camp, after the collapse of the “Riyadh Agreement” signed between them in early November 2019.
