10 tons of expired foodstuffs destroyed in Ibb

IBB, April 19 (YPA) – The Standards, Metrology and Quality Control Organization’s branch in Ibb province on Sunday destroyed ten tons of rotten and expired foodstuffs.

During the destroying process, the province’s Undersecretary for Industry and Trade Affairs Qassim al-Mosawa urged the continuing inspection of the commercial stores to protect citizens from the risks of food that not fit for consumption.

He stressed the necessity of ensuring the safety of commodities and products offered in the market, and their suitability and compliance with specifications, standards and quality.
