Planning minister meets with Resident Representative of WFP in Yemen

SANAA, May 6 (YPA) –Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul Aziz Al-Koumim, on Sunday met with the Resident Representative of the World Food Program (WFP) in Yemen, Stephen Anderson.

The meeting dealt with a number of issues related to the implementation of WFP plans for the year 2018 in Yemen and means of strengthening the cooperation frameworks between the two sides.

The two sides also reviewed the implementation of a number of projects within the activities of WFP in Yemen.

The minister stressed his ministry keenness to provide all facilities available to support the activities of WFP in Yemen.

Stephen stressed the keenness of WFP to continue to exercise its activities in Yemen and support efforts to mitigate the repercussions of alimentary crises in the country due to the war led by US-backed coalition.
