Abdul Salam considers coalition’s declaration of ceasefire in Yemen as political maneuver

SANAA, April 9 (YPA) – The head of the national negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdul Salam, considered on Thursday the Saudi-led coalition’s declaration of the ceasefire in Yemen as a political and media maneuver.

Abdul Salam told Al Jazeera channel that the cease-fire by the coalition aimed at recording a position and improving the Saudi Arabia’s image being stained with the blood of the Yemeni people.

He affirmed that the coalition warplanes have launched dozens of air raids on Rasha’a area of Asir, Haradh district of Hajjah, al-Buqa desert of Najran, Jawf, Marib, Bayda, since declaration of the ceasefire.

Abdul Salam revealed that Yemen had submitted a plan to the United Nations to end the war and lift the siege on the Yemeni people, and was waiting to respond to it until the moment, adding that Yemen is prepared to stop the war and ending the suffering of the Yemeni citizens.
