Head of STC’s branch in Shabwa kidnapped

SHABWA, April 8 (YPA) – Islah Party’s militants on Wednesday kidnapped head of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s branch in Shabwa province, southeastern Yemen, local sources reported.

The sources confirmed that the Islah militants abducted Sheikh Ali Mohsen al-Solaimani, head of the STC branch in the province, and four of his escorts in al-Saeed junction, and took them to an unknown destination.

The kidnapping of Sulaimani and his companions came after Islah militants raided houses of citizens in Habban district in Shabwa on Tuesday, in search of elements of the STC.
