China reports 62 new infected cases of coronavirus

SANAA, April 8 (YPA) – China’s health authorities on Wednesday reported 62 new coronavirus cases, up from 32 the previous day and the number of people infected from abroad.

The National Health Commission said in a statement that the number of cases arriving in mainland China had reached 1,042 as of Tuesday, an increase of 59 from the previous day.

The number of new cases with no symptoms had increased more than fourfold to 137.

The Chinese authorities do not count the number of people who do not show symptoms, including the number of confirmed infections until patients develop symptoms such as fever or cough.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in mainland China to 81,802 and deaths to 3,333.
