UAE closes fuel station in Socotra

SOCOTRA, April 7 (YPA) – Militias backed by the UAE occupation forces on Tuesday closed one of the fuel stations belonging to the businessman Ahmed al-Eisyi on Socotra Island.

Local sources on the island said that the militia leadership asked the administration of al-Eisyi station on Monday to keep pace with the global decline in oil prices, similar to the rest of the occupied provinces. However, the station’s administration rejected the request of the community committee, as directed by its owner al-Eisyi.

The sources confirmed that al-Eisyi monopolized the trade of supplying oil derivatives in Socotra to sell one liter of gasoline at 400 riyals.

This comes after the price of one liter of gasoline fell in Aden province to 165 riyals during the past two days.
