FM discusses with ICRC’s delegation cooperation programs

SANAA, April 7 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Tuesday discussed with Franz Rauchenstein, head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)’s delegation in Yemen, the cooperation programs between Yemen and the Committee.

The meeting touched on the role of the international organizations in supporting the health sector with the necessary equipment and supplies to confront Corona virus, especially in light of the current conditions that Yemen is going through as a result of the continued aggression and blockade.

Sharaf stressed the importance of concerted efforts of the international organizations and friendly countries to pressure the Saudi-led aggression countries and the mercenary government in Riyadh to stop obstructing the entry of oil and gas ships in order to help combating Corona virus.

He appreciated the role played by ICRC delegation, reaffirming the readiness to provide the necessary facilities for the work of the delegation in order to enable it to carry out its activities as required.

For his part, Rauchenstein confirmed the keenness of the ICRC delegation to provide all aspects of support and assistance to the Yemeni people, especially in light of the current circumstances the country is going through.
