UN condemnation for targeting women’s prison in Taiz

SANAA, April 7 (YPA) – The UN envoy Griffith condemned on Monday targeting women’s prison in Taiz province, he said on his account on Twitter.

“I condemn the tragic attack that targeted the prison in Taiz and killed many women and children”, he added.

He stressed on the necessity of protecting civilians, civil installations and facilities.

Meanwhile, United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator Lisa Grande confirmed that the appalling attack on the women’s prison in Taiz is a violation of international humanitarian principles and cannot be justified.
