Presidential Office’s Director discusses UN orgs’ role in confronting Corona in Yemen

SANAA, April 6 (YPA) – Director of the Presidential Office, Head of the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation Ahmed Hamed on Sunday discussed with UN Resident Representative and Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen Lise Grande the humanitarian activities of UN organizations working in Yemen.

The meeting dealt with the role of those organizations in confronting Corona virus, as well as ways to address the deficiencies in the organizations’ work.

The precautionary measures and actions taken by the National Salvation Government to confront Corona virus were reviewed during the meeting.

In this regard, the meeting touched on the joint efforts to overcome the problems that hinder the international organizations’ support for the government efforts to confront Corona .

The meeting stressed the need to provide the requirements of the health centers in the provinces and at the outlets, in light of the challenges and difficulties faced by the health sector as a result of the continued aggression and blockade on the country.
