Human rights protection mechanisms discussed in Sanaa

SANAA, April 4 (YPA) – A meeting held Saturday in the capital Sanaa and chaired by Deputy Minister of Human Rights Ali al-Dailami discussed the mechanisms of human rights protection.

The meeting, which included the Committee on the Promotion of Human Rights Protection Mechanisms consisting of Ministries of Human Rights and Interior and the Attorney General Office, reviewed the tasks and role of the Committee and its efforts to enhance partnership and coordination in this aspect.

At the meeting, al-Dailami stressed the importance of the committee’s role in protecting human rights in places of detention and reformatories, as one of the legal protection mechanisms.

He pointed to the need to have legal and technical references to organize the committee’s work, appreciating the efforts of the Ministry of Interior and the Public Prosecution to promote and protect human rights.
