SANAA, April (YPA) – The General Authority for Fisheries in the Red Sea on Saturday said “the total losses incurred by the fish sector in the Red Sea, during five years of Saudi-US-led aggression on Yemen, amounted to 8,913,958,000 dollars.”
A report, issued by the Authority on Saturday, revealed the Saudi-led coalition forces have carried out 83 direct attacks targeting fishermen and their boats since the beginning of the aggression war in March 2015, which led to the killing of 271 fishermen and injuring of 214 others.
During the five-year period, the coalition forces have kidnapped, imprisoned, and tortured 1,507 fishermen, 23 of whom are still detained, according to the report.
