Murad tribes besiege government complex in Marib

MARIB, March 29 (YPA) – Murad tribes of Marib province imposed a suffocating siege on the government complex in Marib city, after the refusal of governor Sultan al-Arada of Islah Party (Muslim Brotherhood) to respond to their demands, sources reported on Saturday.

Murad tribes accuse al-Arada of looting weapons and military vehicles, and the funds provided by King Salman to the members of the tribe, as well as excluding them from security, military and local positions, according to the sources.

The sources pointed out that the Murad tribes responded to the call of Sheikh Al-Qebli Abdulkhaliq Bahibah to mobilize in order to go towards the government compound, control it and expel what they called “militias of Brotherhood.”

All Murad tribes responded to this call and headed to the city of Marib and imposed a siege on the government compound, the sources added.

The sources expected that the outbreak of clashes in the coming hours between the two parties, especially after Al-Arada summoned Islah’s armed militias to break the siege on the government complex.
