SANAA, March 28 (YPA) – Beijing has announced that it will temporarily close most of its borders and will significantly reduce its international flights, as of midnight Saturday, local time.
The action coincides with recording 54 infections among people arriving in the country, compared with only one local infection on the last day.
Under the new restrictions, tourists and foreigners living in China who are currently “abroad” are prohibited from entering the country.
The procedure excluded business travelers, as holders of service passports and diplomatic passports.
As of Sunday, any Chinese company can make only one overseas trip a day from China to another country.
In return, foreign companies can only make one trip a week to China.
According to official figures, 81,340 people have been infected with the new coronavirus in China.
