UN Secretary-General launches humanitarian response plan to tackle Corona epidemic

SANAA, March 26 (YPA) – UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres confirmed that the Covid-19 epidemic threatens all of humanity, while launching a “global humanitarian response plan” that will run until December with a call for two billion dollars in aid.

“Financing this plan sufficiently will save many lives and provide humanitarian agencies and NGOs with the laboratory supplies needed to carry out the necessary examinations, and with medical equipment to treat patients, while protecting health-care workers,” Guterres said in a video interview.
