Information Minister discusses emergency awareness plan to confront COVID-19

SANAA, March 24 (YPA) – Minister of Information Dhaifallah al-Shami discussed in a meeting on Tuesday the emergency awareness plan to confront the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

At the meeting, the minister stressed on the importance of role of the media outlets in making the educational messages to society about precautionary measures in confronting the COVID-19.

Al-Shami affirmed doubling more efforts by the Ministry in preparing a media’s awareness plan to confront the epidemic virus through producing awareness and educational flashes contributing to the level of community awareness towards the risks of the virus.

The minister called on travelers traveling between governorates and expatriates coming from outside Yemen to cooperate with the relevant authorities in taking precautionary measures for the Yemeni society’s health and safety.
