Water Minister discusses expansion of partnership with UNICEF

SANAA, March 22 (YPA) – Minister of Water and Environment Nabil al-Wazir on Sunday discussed with UNICEF Acting Resident Representative Gianluca Buono the expansion of partnership and cooperation between the Water Ministry and the organization.

The meeting touched on the efforts exerted by the Ministry to provide water through projects implemented at the national level.

At the meeting, the Minister stressed the necessity of continuing the activities of water and environmental sanitation to respond to the cholera emergency, especially with the presence of severe concern of the Corona pandemic.

Al-Wazir appreciated the positive response shown by UNICEF in keeping pace with supporting the Ministry’s efforts.

For his part, Buono praised the efforts made by the Ministry despite the challenges, confirming the UNICEF’s keenness to continue and expand the partnership with the Ministry.
