Health Minister announces comprehensive mobilization to confront Coronavirus

SANAA, March 21 (YPA) – Health Ministry announced on Saturday a state of the comprehensive health mobilization to face Coronavirus in Yemen.

In a news statement, the minister Taha al-Mutawakil urged all doctors, health personnel and technicians to health preparation for facing the epidemic.

During the statement, al-Mutawakil directed the ministry to accommodate the students studying in colleges and health institutes to preparer in an awareness and health operation in within the framework of pre-emptive measures to face any emergency or outbreak of the Coronavirus.

The statement confirmed that 18 hospitals would be prepared the health supplies and training health personnel in various governorates to confront the virus.

The Minister called on the international organizations working in Yemen to assume the responsibilities to equip these hospitals, as well as the quarantine centers, urging citizens to reduce visits to the public and private hospitals.

Al-Mutawakil affirmed that all hospitals’ work would be in accordance with the infection control protocols, indicating that two national awareness and media plans to confront the Corona virus.
