SANAA, May 3 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition airstrikes on the Blood Transfusion Cente at Al-Sabeen Hospital in the capital on last Friday led to the full suspension of work in the center, director of the center Ayman al-Shahari said in a press conference held Thursday.
“The air raid that targeted the center led to the breakdown of many devices, making the center out of work,” al-Shahari said.
Al-Shahari appealed to international and civil society organizations and related parties to quickly aid the center with the medical equipment and infrastructure, which was damaged as a result of the bombing, in order to restore its work as it was.
The center provides free services, and stopping it will cause several problems in providing blood to those who need blood transfusion frequently and are unable to pay fees.
