Islah announces advance towards Aden, transitional push military reinforcements to Abyan

ADEN, March 18 (YPA) – leadership of the southern transitional militia, affiliated with the UAE, pushed on Wednesday military reinforcements towards the city of Zanzibar, the capital of Abyan Governorate, south of Yemen.
A military source in Abyan confirmed that the transitional forces sent military reinforcements from the people of Radfan and Dalea, led by Mukhtar Al-Nubi, after the Islah party had previously conducted a military exercise with various types of weapons in the coastal city of Shakra.
The source pointed out that the transitional militias have strengthened their presence along the coastal strip of Abyan, to confront Islah militants who are preparing to march towards the city of Aden during the coming days.
The leader Abdullah Al-Subaihi, earlier, threatened to record a video of invading the city of Aden, announcing the combat readiness of the Islah militants in Shakra, and ready for any military directives issued by the leadership.
This came after the arrival, on Tuesday, huge military reinforcements for the Islah militants to the coastal region of Shakra, in conjunction with the return of prominent military leaders from Saudi Arabia, among them the bond of the commander of the first brigade, a presidential protection in charge of protecting the palace of Adheq.
Military observers described that this maneuver as a provocation to the transitional and a strong message of the direction towards the invasion of Aden, in coordination with the Saudi forces present in a coalition camp in the Brega region and Maashek Palace.
This comes after the collapse of the Riyadh agreement signed between the southern transitional, and the “Hadi government”, in the beginning of November 2019, and the fall of the transitional in the trap of the agreement, and it demand to hand over heavy weapons to the Saudi forces that gave themselves legitimacy to occupy all the southern provinces.
