Ministry of Water, ICRC discuss cooperation aspects

SANAA, March 18 (YPA) – Minister of Water and Environment Nabil al-Wazir on Wednesday discussed with Water Coordinator at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Maribel Martin the cooperation between the Ministry and the Committee in the field of water and environmental sanitation.

The meeting reviewed the efforts and interventions implemented by the ICRC during the past year, according to the contents of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two sides.

During the meeting, the Minister of Water urged the ICRC to expand the activities and interventions in the field of water and environmental sanitation and focus on the priorities set by the ministry.

The meeting touched on the difficulties faced by the ICRC, including the detention of a number of equipment for water projects in the port of Aden.
