Army announces full liberation of Jawf in new military operation

SANAA, March 17 (YPA) – The Yemeni army’s spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sarie on Tuesday announced that the army forces backed by popular committees completed the liberation of all districts of Jawf province, except some areas in Khab Washaaf district and al-Hazm desert.

Sarie said that this came during a large-scale military operation called “Amkn Minhum”, which was carried out by the army and popular committees in response to the enemy escalation in the province.

Sarie explained that after five days of fierce confrontations the army forces and the popular committees were able to defeat the so-called “the Sixth Military Region” with all its military brigades.

He added that hundreds of the enemy troops were killed, wounded, and captured, including commanders, and various amounts of weapons were seized during the operation.

The missile force and drones took part in the “Amkn Minhum” operation with more than 50 operations, most of which targeted the depth of Saudi enemy in response to the air bombing escalation, according to the spokesman.

“Our forces are working on the normalization of conditions in the province after defeating the enemy forces and their mercenaries from all its districts,” Sarie said.
