2200 food baskets distribute for displaced, affected family, people in Sana’a
SANAA, May 3 (YPA) – Yemen’s Independent Youth Minister, Hanaa al-Faqih and officials of Mo’in district of the capital Sanaa on Wednesday launched the distribution of food baskets to displaced and war-affected families from the Food Development Program.
The total number of beneficiaries of the food basket project is 2200 beds.
In the inauguration, Faqih stressed the importance of distributing baskets of food to the beneficiaries, especially in the circumstances of the coalition aggression war and all-out blockade against Yemen for more than 3 years.
In a meeting held on Wednesday in Sana’a under al-Faqih and the Secretary General of the Local Council of the Directorate of Mo’in Yahya Al-Shihadi, they discussed a number of issues related to the situation of civilians, including gas stations as well as the inclusion of martyrs and wounded families to the lists of beneficiaries of food baskets.
The meeting also discussed the mechanism of distribution of domestic gas, which limited the congestion and queues in front of the stations, and worked to standardize the price of the cylinder 20 liters of three thousand Riyals.
Al-Faqih stressed on the role of the local councils in providing the needs and services of civilians in order to help them to the life costs and to withstand against the brutal aggression.
For his part, the Secretary General of the local council in Mo’in district, Yahya Al-Shahathi, confirmed the readiness of Ma’in district to provide food baskets to the martyrs and wounded families in recognition and gratitude for the heroic martyrs and the wounded in order to defend the homeland and its sovereignty and dignity.
