UAE occupation pushes military reinforcements to Socotra
SOCOTRA, May 2 (YPA) – The military reinforcements of the United Arab Emirates occupation forces send on Wednesday a ship carrying a number of tanks and armored vehicles and heavy weapons, in conjunction with the arrival of three warplanes to the airport Socotra, a special sources told Yemen Press Agency.
The sources said that the movements of the UAE came after Bin Dagher visited to the 1st Marine Brigade in the island, which praised the members of the brigade and support for the legitimacy of exile Hadi, as well as dozens of Socotra’s sons have carried out a demonstration support for the government of Ben Dagher and Hadi legitimacy.
Bin Dagher also visited several social figures on the island and carried out inspection visits to a number of government facilities inside Socotra.
This movements raised fears of UAE occupation to the possibility of turning the situation on the island against them, prompting the Emiratis to send reinforcements and siege of the airport Socotra.
Local sources indicate that a state of tension is currently prevailing on the island.
Bin Dagher and a number of his ministers had started a visit to socotra three days ago.
