Deputy PM, UN official discuss precautionary measures to confront Coronavirus

SANAA, March 10 (YPA) – Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Development Hussein Maqbouli met on Tuesday with the UN’s humanitarian coordinator for Yemen, Lise Grande, to discuss precautionary measures to confront Coronavirus.

At the meeting, Maqbouli briefed Grande on precautionary measures taken by the Higher Committee for Epidemic Control to conduct entry screening for travelers, including international missions, organizations and diplomats, to face the coronavirus.

The officials stressed the importance of the positive coordination with the humanitarian coordinator in Yemen to take full measures to examine all arrivals, praising Grande’s keenness in supporting the official efforts to confront the epidemic.

The meeting also included the health minister Taha al-Mutawakil, Deputy minister of foreign affairs Hussein al-Ezzi.
