FM meets UNICEF official

SANAA, March 8 (YPA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hisham Sharaf Abdullah, met on Sunday with Acting Resident Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Gianluca Buono in Yemen.

At the meeting, the minister called on the UNICEF official to exert more effort for providing the necessary services to help the displaced people and residents of remote areas.

The meeting reviewed a number of activities and programs provided by the UNICEF in Yemen to reduce from the worsening humanitarian repercussions faced by the Yemeni people as a result of the aggression and the siege imposed by the Saudi coalition on Yemen.

Meanwhile, the UNICEF’s official praised the cooperation and permanent coordination provided by the Ministry in order to facilitate the works of the UNICEF in Yemen, affirming the organization’s commitment to redoubling efforts for alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people.
