UAE-backed gunmen kill citizen in Aden

ADEN, Feb. 27 (YPA) – A citizen was killed on Wednesday night by armed elements loyal to the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the southern port city of Aden, local sources said.

According to the sources, Eisam Ali Awad al-Awbali al-Subihi was shot dead in the Khor Makser district by a soldier from the UAE-backed security forces.

Before his killing, the STC security belt forces tried to run over al-Subihi by their military pickup vehicle in one of the streets which later developed into dispute and a verbal altercation that ended with him shooting and killing him, one of the sources said.

The sources added that al-Subihi was killed near Al-Arish area of Khor Makser district and his body was taken al-Burihi Hospital.

On Monday, a citizen was killed by unidentified gunmen riding a SUV car near the old Qat market in the Dar Saad area.

The city of Aden has been witnessing security chaos since the control of Saudi-Emirati occupation forces over the city in 2015.
