Judicial Council approves transfer of several judges to fill vacancies

SANAA, Feb. 24 (YPA) – The Supreme Judicial Council in its Monday meeting chaired by Judge Ahmed al-Mutwakkil discussed two memoranda on the nomination of a number of judges and members of the Public Prosecution to fill vacancies in some courts and prosecutions.

After conducting the necessary debate on the two memoranda, which were submitted by Attorney General and Head of the Judicial Inspection Panel, the Judicial Council approved the nominations.

In the meeting, the financial disclosure form for members of the judiciary was discussed and approved in light of controls and procedures presented by the council’s members.

The Council also approved the draft circular of legal controls to issue alerts from heads of the courts of appeals against judges of the affiliated primary courts, in accordance with the provisions of the Judicial Authority Law in light of the Judicial Inspection Panel’s proposal.
