YPC employees continue to protest in front of UN office in Sanaa

SANAA, Feb. 22 (YPA) – The employees of the Yemeni Petroleum Company, its unions and its bodies staged a vigil in front of the UN office in Sanaa after Friday prayers, with the title “the Dying of the United Nations and the death of the conscience of the world,”

During the vigil, the spokesman for the YPC said that the UN envoy’s silence in his recent briefing before the UN Security Council, and his disregard for the detention of oil derivative ships confirms the United Nations’ bias.

Al-Shabati holds the United Nations and the US-Saudi Aggression responsible for the detention of oil derivatives ships.

He said that “the US-Saudi aggression is still holding nine oil ships loaded with more than 240 thousand tons of oil derivatives despite obtaining United Nations permits.”

The statement issued by the trade union committees affirmed the continuation of the open sit-in, the organization of vigils in front of the United Nations office until the demands of the sit-in were met, and the release of all oil ships detained by the aggression coalition.

The statement renewed the demand of the United Nations to lift siege for the Sanaa International Airport, Ras Issa Port, and neutralization of the company, its facilities and the stations of its agents from targeting.
