Al-Houthi calls on coalition to open rest of Nihm road to citizens’ movement

SANAA, Feb. 20 (YPA) – Member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi has called on Saudi-led coalition and its militants to “open what is left of the Nihm road.”

“The army and the committees are ready to open the road of Nihm”, which links Marib and Sanaa provinces, in an effort to ease the suffering of Yemenis from the coalition’s disruption of roads and obstruction of civilian movement and transportation, he said.

“For the countries of aggression and their mercenaries, after the road, the distance and the many hours, the Yemeni people have been hard to come because of your control over and blocking of the road, and now  it is enough of what has surrounded Sana’a and the citizens so far,” he said.

“Today, the Yemeni people have won, we call on you not to object to the Yemeni citizen and to open the rest of the road. We are ready to open it,” said Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of the Supreme Political Council, addressing coalition countries and his militants, referring to  the changes that the operation of “al-Bunyan al-Marsous” has brought.

The army forces and popular committees were able to regain their influence over 2,500 square kilometres of Nihm district, Marib and  Jawf governorates, and defeated the coalition forces and their militants in the military operation “Al-Bunyan al-Marsous”, and opened the way along the liberated area after it remained closed from the coalition and its forces for years.
