PM discusses with UN Representative priorities of humanitarian activity for 2020
SANAA, Feb. 5 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor on Wednesday discussed with the United Nations Representative and Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen Lise Grande, the priorities of humanitarian activity for 2020 in Yemen.
They dealt with the partnership relations between the National Salvation Government and humanitarian organizations currently operating in Yemen to reduce the great suffering experienced by the majority of the Yemeni people as a result of the aggression and the blockade.
The meeting touched on the importance of increasing the number of the medical airlift flights though Sanaa International Airport to transport patients for treatment abroad, because there are many patients whose health conditions require urgent travel, out of 32,000 patients.
In the meeting, Grande confirmed that the airlift flights via Sanaa airport come within the framework of preparation for the lifting of the ban on this vital airport, which serves more than 70% of the population of the Republic of Yemen.
